    In and around Queenstown

  • Queenstown is adventure town - experience bungy jumping at Skippers Canyon, jet boating on the Shotover River, white-water rafting on the Shotover
  • Ride the gondola 450 metres above Queenstown to Bob's Peak to enjoy views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains.
  • Cruise Lake Wakatipu aboard TSS Earnslaw, a 100 year old steamboat
  • With winter snowfalls, get on board a snowmobile adventure across the alpine landscape or try heli-skiing and heli-boarding will get you high on virgin snow
  • Ski fields of the Remarkables and Coronet Peak offer great runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels
  • Visit nearby Arrowtown, an historic gold mining town with its quaint, tree-lined streets, miners' cottages and shops

    Wanaka

  • Flight seeing operators are always keen to show off their playground in Milford Sound, Mount Cook and Mount Aspiring. Remote area landings are available in Mount Aspiring National Park for hikers, climbers and hunters
  • Get a guide to take you fly-fishing on the lakes, rivers and streams in the area. The region offers superb brown and rainbow trout fishing
  • Lake Wanaka is a playground for sailors, water-skiers, kayakers and wind surfers
  • At Puzzling World you'll get lost in a world of jigsaw puzzles and a maze!
  • Ski fields of Cardrona and Treble Cone are brilliantly equipped and offer a mix of terrain for skiers and snowboards of all abilities
  • Things are always cheerful at the Wanaka Beerworks, a boutique brewery located next to Wanaka airport

    Milford Sound, Fiordland

  • Take a spectacular scenic flight over Fiordland National Park. View crystal clear lakes, glacier carved fiords and endless snow clad mountains
  • Cruise around Milford, Doubtful, Dusky or Breaksea Sounds. The pristine forest, sheer rock walls and tumbling waterfalls are a breathtaking sight. Local inhabitants include bottlenose dolphins, New Zealand fur seals and Fiordland crested penguins
  • The walks in Fiordland National Park are world famous - spend a day or a week on one of the spectacular tracks
